Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the Uzbekistan national football team secured a victory against North Korea in the latest round of qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The winning goal was scored by Abbosbek Faizullaev.

The goal scored by the forward from a distance in the 44th minute was the only one of the match.
It should be noted that in the second half, the Uzbekistan team had to play with one less player: in the 83rd minute, Umar Eshmuradov received a red card for handling the ball in the penalty area. However, goalkeeper Utkir Yusupov saved the team by blocking the penalty and maintaining the minimal lead.
As a result of the match, the Uzbekistan national team remains in second place in Group A with 13 points.
