Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to Podrobno.uz, the International Judo Federation has initiated a voting process to determine the best athletes of 2024. The voting is being conducted across five categories, and several representatives from Uzbek judo are included in the list.

Diyora Keldiyorova is a contender for the title of Best Judo Athlete of the Year. Her victory over Japan's Uta Abe at the Paris Olympics is also nominated for the "Event of the Year."
The project judogirls.uz, created by the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan, is a candidate for the best in the "Judo for Children" category.
Successful coaching may be awarded to Marko Spittka based on voting results (for his work with the Uzbekistan women's national team).
Meanwhile, the technique used by Muhammad Jumayev at the "Grand Slam" tournament in Dushanbe is in the running for the best ippon of the year nomination.
Voting is conducted exclusively through the JudoTV platform and will continue until January 10, 2025.
