The chairman of the joint-stock company "Uzbekneftegaz" presented a report on the work accomplished in 2024 and the priority tasks for 2025.
It was noted that work is ongoing on several projects involving foreign companies. In collaboration with them, projects have been developed to stabilize gas production volumes for the upcoming year. Specifically, new wells will be drilled and existing operational wells will be repaired using modern technologies.
The main issue facing the industry has been the lack of attention to geological exploration over many years. As a result, some fields have nearly depleted their reserves, while the efficiency of others remains low. To address this problem, plans are in place to implement modern technologies and initiate geological exploration in 15 promising areas. The area for seismic exploration will be expanded to 6,500 square kilometers.
Responsible parties have been tasked with developing a program for the advancement of geology and the exploration of new fields in 2025, with the involvement of major foreign companies and experts.
The transformation of "Uzbekneftegaz" will continue, with a focus on reducing production costs and improving the international credit rating. In the coming year, it is planned to attract funds from international sources for financing production and geological exploration projects.
Alongside investments and new technologies, the issue of human resources is of particular importance, the head of state emphasized. Instructions have been given to enhance the quality of training and prepare modern specialists, as well as to invite qualified compatriots working abroad.
