It is noted that previously the area along the Ugam River was rocky terrain and was not fully utilized. As part of a project costing over 1 trillion sums, construction work has begun on a site of approximately 14 hectares. Currently, 17 apartment buildings with heights of 5, 6, and 7 stories are being erected, which will contain 870 apartments.
Additionally, the complex plans to construct 16 cottages, 3 restaurants, and over 20 retail and service outlets. There will be children's playgrounds, an indoor swimming pool, fitness and sports facilities, an amphitheater, parking areas, and walking paths in the mountains and along the coastline.
The new complex will be able to host up to 200,000 visitors annually, which will also impact the region's tourist potential.
In the first phase, all apartment buildings included in the project are expected to be commissioned by early 2025. The head of state has familiarized himself with one of the apartments.
It has also been noted that tourists are attracted by the beautiful nature and clean air. Considering this, an additional 20,000 trees will be planted in the existing forest area. Using modern technologies, 1,000 cubic meters of river water will be processed daily. There are also plans to launch a heating and cooling system with a capacity of 2 megawatts.
The president has instructed responsible industry officials to promote this resort and further engage tourists.
It has been emphasized that alongside the development of this direction, it is essential to protect traditional crafts of the local population. For instance, beekeeping and lemon cultivation are well-developed in the area, which is significant for preserving the local ecosystem.
