A three-story eco-market with underground parking will be built at the site of the Yunusabad market in Tashkent.

On December 11, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reviewed a presentation on construction and landscaping projects, according to the press service of the head of state.
В Ташкенте на месте Юнусабадского рынка построят трехэтажный экорынок с подземной парковкой.

It was noted that the Yunusabad Dehkan market in Tashkent is always bustling, but its further expansion is hindered by a lack of space. Additionally, traffic on the surrounding streets is congested. In this regard, a decision has been made to develop the market according to a modern concept - "upward," increasing trading areas and improving infrastructure.

According to the project, a three-story eco-market will be built in place of the existing market while preserving its traditional appearance. An additional shopping center and a jewelry house will be located nearby. An underground parking lot designed for over a thousand cars will be constructed beneath the buildings. The project will create 4-5 thousand new jobs. The President instructed the responsible officials to organize the construction in phases so that the market can continue to operate normally.

The next project involves the improvement of parks and the creation of new recreational areas. In Abdulla Qadiri Park in Tashkent, it is planned to increase the area of green spaces by effectively utilizing the terrain, as well as to establish walking areas, fountains, a new planetarium, and a gastro-hall to attract tourists. It is expected that the new facilities will harmoniously blend into the ensemble of the Chorsu market and the Old City as a whole.

The President emphasized the importance of enhancing the conditions in the park while reflecting national traditions.

- These plans are good, but we need to add more national color. It is important to reflect the history of the city and the traditions of our people here. Every person, regardless of age, should find a place in the park that appeals to them, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The "Dostlik" park will also be renovated and transformed into a modern recreational space. Walking paths, water bodies, and relaxation areas will be reconstructed, and new benches will be installed. A family entertainment zone, a children's creativity center, a skate park, an aviary, and a Ferris wheel will be created.

On the territory of the park is the Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries. In the adjacent square, it is planned to build pavilions for national cultural centers. Each pavilion will be designed in a style that reflects the unique culture and traditions of the people it represents. The pavilions will harmoniously complement the ensemble of the "Dostlik" park.

At the initiative of the President, the "Navruz" park was established in Tashkent in 2019. To expand the park's capabilities, plans are underway to construct a hotel, an indoor sports complex, a restaurant, and a conference hall.

As part of comprehensive regional development across the country, new microdistricts, parks, and recreational areas are being created. In particular, the "Yangi Uzbekistan" parks have been built in the cities of Nurafshan and Namangan. The next projects aim to enhance their effectiveness and attract more visitors.

Tourist centers with an eastern market, craft zones, an amphitheater, fountains, and other facilities will be organized near the "Yangi Uzbekistan" parks in Nurafshan and Namangan. The area of green spaces will be increased by planting new trees.

The President has instructed to ensure the high quality of these projects' implementation and to create comfortable conditions for residents and tourists.
