According to "Dunyo," during the negotiations, representatives from Uzbekistan discussed the state policy in the social sphere, including measures to improve living standards, provide social services, and establish specialized centers for people with disabilities.
The parties agreed to establish cooperation between the National Agency for Social Protection and KOFIH, as well as to begin developing a joint document that will serve as the foundation for further initiatives.
Among the projects discussed are the creation of support centers for the elderly and disabled in Uzbekistan, the implementation of the South Korean model of emergency assistance centers for victims of domestic violence, and the enhancement of social integration and healthcare services.
Special attention was given to priority issues such as raising the academic level of teaching at the Tashkent Medical Academy and improving the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis in Samarkand. The parties emphasized the importance of effectively implementing the planned projects.
It is worth noting that in Uzbekistan, individuals who have experienced domestic violence have been categorized as socially vulnerable.
