The authorities in Uzbekistan have approved a procedure for checking sources of air pollution, reports the Ministry of Justice.
According to the information, the government has created guidelines outlining the rules for identifying air pollution sources and determining the volume of pollutants released into the atmosphere.
The document also details the stages for filtering such pollution sources. It is expected that each company and organization will be responsible for cleaning their pollution sources. Specifically, the process should occur in several stages:
After completing the inspection at all stages, the documented results are approved by the manager of the facility. Subsequently, they must be submitted for review to the regional body of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change within one business day from the date of approval, and will be reviewed within the following 15 days.
It was previously reported that in Uzbekistan, builders will be penalized for air pollution. Repeat offenders face hefty fines.
