The concentration of PM2.5 in the atmosphere has exceeded the World Health Organization's recommendations by more than ten times.

On December 23, the concentration of fine particulate matter PM2.5 reached 63 µg/m³, which is nearly 12.6 times higher than the recommended level set by WHO, according to IQAir data.

As of 08:00, the levels of ozone and PM10 pollutants in the air of Tashkent did not exceed the permissible limits. However, the concentration of hazardous PM2.5 particles surpassed the WHO standard by a factor of 12.6.

Compared to the previous day, the air quality has deteriorated nearly tenfold. The atmosphere is classified as harmful. Residents are advised to avoid outdoor sports and wear masks.

Previously, it was reported that fog could "blur" the data on air pollution in Tashkent. To clarify the data, ecologists plan to use dew point temperature.
