In Tashkent, 2,706 requests from residents regarding issues in the capital were received over the week, which is 411 fewer applications than the previous week, according to an analysis by the Xalq Nazorati portal.
The authorities of the Uchtepa district demonstrated the most active work and rightfully remain at the top of the ranking for processing and resolving residents' problems with a score of 8.1 points. As a result of the new week, the Chilanzar district found itself at the bottom again with a score of 2.27 points.
As winter deepens, residents of Tashkent increasingly feel the issues related to housing and communal services. More than a third of all requests pertain to the housing and utilities sector—34.4%. Environmental problems are slightly receding from the capital's concerns, which can be attributed to the conflict between the mayor's office and greenhouses, as well as the increased precipitation during the first ten days of December. Complaints regarding the condition of roads, sidewalks, and landscaping have decreased.
The "unexpected" winter in Tashkent has once again revealed all the shortcomings in the capital's preparation for the cold. For several years now, with the onset of cold weather, the operation of gas stations has been restricted due to the increased demand for blue fuel. The Ministry of Energy has again stated that it is due to "special" weather conditions, urging drivers to use gasoline, the supply of which has doubled, or to buy electric vehicles, the prices of which began to drop at the end of November.
It is better to stand in line for gas than to have a cold home, — this conclusion was reached by the Ministry of Energy.
The bad weather in Tashkent also caused some buses to fail: the King Long "accordion" buses are breaking down in the cold. The malfunctions are mainly related to deficiencies in the air system, and specialists from the manufacturer "Xiamen King Long United Automotive" have already been called in to address them. A young man in Tashkent tried to capture the smoke coming from one of the buses and faced foul language and threats from the driver. The rude driver was calmed down by responsible employees of "Toshshakartanshizmat."
