On November 16, in honor of the International Day for Tolerance, a group of distinguished scholars, renowned figures, leaders from the religious sector, representatives of international organizations, and foreign academics were awarded the "Religious Tolerance" badges at the Wyndham Tashkent hotel in our capital.

The event was attended by representatives from various ministries and departments, public organizations, and religious denominations, activists from national and cultural centers, compatriots contributing significantly to strengthening friendship among peoples and promoting religious tolerance in our country, as well as representatives from the media.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate, Sodik Safaev, the director of the National Center for Human Rights, Akmal Saidov, the chairman of the Republican Administration of the Nurooniy Foundation, Senator Sodikjon Turdiev, the director of the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, Firdavs Abdukholekov, along with representatives and activists from organizations contributing to reforms in the religious and educational sectors, were also honored with this award.

This badge was established to encourage individuals who enhance the effectiveness of religious and educational activities, ensure guarantees of freedom of conscience for citizens, and strengthen inter-religious and inter-confessional harmony and tolerance.
