One of Italy's leading publishing houses, specializing in historical and popular science literature, Sandro Teti Editore, has released the work of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, “Baburnama”, in Italian for the first time in a mass edition.
A large team of skilled translators, editors, and designers was involved in the process of publishing the book in Italian, under the guidance of the publishing house's head, Sandro Teti.
In the preface written by the renowned Italian scholar and writer Franco Cardini, Babur is described as a “great ruler, in love with the art of words, or a great writer who loved his empire.” In his commentary on the book, translator Federico Pastore notes that “Baburnama” is “the first truthful example of an autobiographical work characteristic of Islamic civilization, which allows us to reconstruct the everyday life of its era.”
