Uzbekistan Aims to Enhance Collaboration with American Companies

On January 26, Uzbekistan's Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Madrahimov held a virtual meeting with Carolyn Lamm, chair of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce (AUCC).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan expressed its readiness to support the activities of the AUCC, aimed at developing bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as strengthening direct ties between the business communities of the two countries.

The discussions covered the prospects of attracting American investments and advanced technologies for the implementation of joint projects in Uzbekistan, particularly in agriculture, food, textile, and chemical industries.

There was also an exchange of views regarding the organization of the next round of the Uzbek-American Business Forum this year, as well as inviting representatives of the U.S. business community to participate in upcoming economic events in Uzbekistan, including the 3rd Tashkent International Investment Forum.

AUCC is a non-profit organization that helps develop and strengthen trade and economic ties between the U.S. and Uzbekistan.
