In Djizak, plans are underway to initiate 10 major projects valued at $750 million, along with 110 regional industrial projects totaling $580 million, reports Daryo correspondent.
These initiatives are expected to generate at least 7,500 new jobs. The corresponding task has been assigned to the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministry of Investments.
The head of state also emphasized that the regional industry should experience a 14% increase in 2023.
The Ministry of Mining and Geology, along with the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade, has been tasked with signing an agreement with foreign investors from Turkey to rehabilitate the Uchkulach mine, which extracts lead and zinc (in the Forish district), within ten days, and to commence drilling by May 1.
This project will attract $200 million in investments and create 600 jobs.
